Question:

Is there anyone who does NOT enjoy playing with dryer lint?

Have you ever looked at the girl who you’ve known for a long, long time, and suddenly realized, “Hey, she’s really not ugly at all…..”?

So this might be embarassing for her to have everyone see…but there it is. And it’s how I feel.

We sailed around on the pirate ship, flying our flags and yelling generally pirate-y things.  Then some landlubber callin hisself a “reporter” decided to take our names and photographs for some sort of “paper” scurvy dogs in these parts read.  A fine dinner of meat and rum followed by encounters with beautiful wenches of all sorts…twas a fine night to be a pirate.

I’m really popular, and girls named Monica really want to be my myspace friends.

In other news, I have a girlfriend.

when i get around to looking at blogs i feel like people update MORE in the summer. go outside and play.  come backpacking with me.  this internet is just a passing phase invented by al gore.  except for world of warcraft and clan lord. they are not passing phases.

ps i dont know who lives in maine, but starting tomorrah ill be there all summer

Email from my advisor for the summer I’m spending in Maine:

So far my summer has been

well ill edit this later because paint disappeared and i dont have anything to edit images in. i love windows. ill get a G4 cube at the end of the summer and just game on this. ps i like to spend my free time playing world of warcraft now. dont worry clan lord, you’re still my friend to.

So the verdict is in.  I spend my summer in sunny Maine, with days on the beach and nights dancing with hot babes.  Maybe.  I’m doing a research slash internship thingy at the U of Maine, and it should be stellar.  It’s researching awesome things like thin film and pizoelectrcic sensors.  Maybe only engineers think that’s fun.

But it was really quite pleasant to wake up one morning, not have an email, go to an exam, try to print out the notes from the exam 2 minutes before it, then get an email saying “Hey you’re awesome so you can come research here, get paid a schmillion dollars, and have a sweet time.” Especially after all my jobs back home were falling through. Jehovah Jireh as they say.  He provides both summer jobs, as well as root beer for long nights in the Palmer.  Which will be sweet action next year, featuring the likes of the Colinater, the Telloster, and the Hot Babester.  The last one is undecided as of now.

So take heart those lacking summer jobs.  Something will work out.  Maybe not money will work out.  But God will provide something that is needed by you, even if you don’t realize.

In other news, I recently learned that when you poop, you are supposed to wipe with your left hand.  That is why the toilet paper rolls are on the left side (except I think other people didn’t hear about this, because I see rolls on the right side all the time).
The reason for this is because when you meet someone, it is polite to shake with your right hands, and rude to shake with your left. Because you’re not supposed to wipe and shake with the same hand. (teehee) 
I suppose what I’m trying to say is, I’m sorry for shaking right hands with you, because I only just learned about the wipe-with-the-left rule so I can’t be held responsible for past wiping/handshaking habits.  So you might want to wash your hands now.

i was just informed by Crystal that it’s ok, because in America we wash our hands so it doesn’t matter which one we wipe with.  so i guess that means, i’m sorry again, and i’ll start washing my hands.

All the cool people are going.  Even the not cool people are going.  I suppose its not really worth me expositing all sorts of things on the subject of whats going on with the kids in Uganda…the short story is abduction and coercion into military service against their own people, so to avoid abduction they commute a few hours into cities and sleep on crowded streets, pretty much ignored by the global community at large.  This is an attempt to get media attention, which will put public pressure on our government to put pressure on other governments to DO SOMETHING about the atrocities that are going down there..  Read about it at the site…it’s quite important and moving.  If you don’t know if you will go or not, let me know and I have a shiny nickel to give you if you come.
